Platinum Art Deco Opal and Diamond Pendant

Circa 1920s

Ornate art deco platinum pendant, large for the period and displaying an 8 carat oval opal, suspended from a frame of bezel-set diamonds. The diamonds are configured in a flower pattern, creating the look of a wreath with the opal at the center. In total, approximately 4.50 carats of old European cut diamonds are set in this piece, measuring 2 inches by 1 3/8 inches.
