Granulated Antique Enamel Locket with Floral Motif - C/1860. Striking turquoise enamel is accented with bright white enamel accents, the symbiotic colors augmented by a lifelike floral bouquet at the center of this 18 karat yellow gold locket. Note the ornate detail including the granulated outer edge and scalloped border surrounding the enamel petals, the three-dimensional centerpiece, the stylized hinges and the sculpted enamel bale. The piece opens from the bottom to reveal a substantial locket, with glass covering the oval space in which you may nestle your relics. The locket measures 2.5 inches long including the length added by the bale and 1.25 inches wide at its widest. It is suspended from a 21 inch antique chain.
