Victorian Starburst Pearl Pin and Pendant

18k yellow gold pin/pendant, starburst design that is raised at the center, decorated with layers of lustrous pearls and accented with rose cut diamonds. The pin back can be unscrewed and removed, as well as the pearl-set bale can be removed and the jump loop folds down with a hinge, to allow the piece to be worn solely as a brooch. The pendant measures 1.75 inches long, plus a half inch for the bale, and 1.5 inches wide. This is a smartly-conceived piece of modular antique jewelry, with a design motif that will be eternally popular. Circa 1880.
