Victorian Hardstone Cameo Yellow Gold Brooch & Earring Set

Extremely fine Victorian cameo suite of earrings and a pin/pendant. The earrings measure 1 inch tall and 3/4 inch wide. The brooch has a large pin back and a bale and can be worn as a pendant. It measures 1 3/8 wide by 1 5/8 tall. Seed pearls surround the golden frames.

The carvings are exquisitely detailed and have been done with extreme precision. The wispiness of the fabric in which these ladies are draped is almost transparent, yet has a three dimensional quality. Each carving differs from the next, although the theme is consistent.
