Etruscan Garnet and Enamel Locket Pendant

18k yellow gold sculptural pendant, almost Aztec in its rendering, but distinctly Etruscan in design, set in the center with a cabochon garnet and framed by crisp white enamel and green enamel dots at the “hour markers”. A stylized bow tie shaped bale and teardrop shaped drop compete the look… but there’s more! The piece also has a locket back for displaying a photo or there relic. The pendant is 3 inches long and is accompanied by a 19 inch stylized antique chain. Circa 1860.
