Art Deco Diamond & Sapphire Pendant-Watch
An all original Art Deco pendant made by historic American jeweler Black, Star & Frost, practically designed as a clock in addition to its fine aesthetic. This pendant is handmade circa 1930, the craftsmanship exhibiting outstanding jewelry making experience and astute attention to detail. The back of each gemstone is diligently assured just as each piercing is highly polished, an overall well finished item of extra fine jewelry (just examine the back of this piece!). This incredible Art Deco pendant is set with approximately 5.50 carats of Rose Cut diamonds. The Platinum necklace contains one-hundred & seventy-four diamonds, weighing approximately 2.00 carats. The halo of the drop contains 141 diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats with another 2.00 carats of diamonds in the center diamond cluster of the drop. A fine halo of calibre cut blue sapphires surround this substantial diamond cluster and three of the necklace links (including the clasp). The clasp is stamped “B.S.&F.” in addition to the watch dial signed “Black Star & Frost.” The pendant drop measures 1.25 inches in diameter, with a 20 inch platinum, diamond and sapphire chain. Magnificent!
