With over forty-seven years of experience in jewelry and timepieces, John Bonifas is one of the industry's most reputable jewelers in the country. With early beginnings in the mid-west, John's first place of employment was in a jewelry store where his passion for beautiful and timeless pieces became a lifetime affair.

John and his wife Sandy became residents of Carmel-by-the-Sea over twenty years ago and quickly brought new life to Carmel's jewelry trade as the owners of the already established Fourtané Jewelers. Since then, John has acquired one of the most sought after and finest collections in the nation, consisting of authentic estate and antique watches and jewelry from 1800's to present day.

Even though John now shares his passion and business with his two sons, Joshua and Kristofer, you can still find him in the store six days a week and as hands-on as the day they opened.
